Welcome to Wathwood Welsh Cobs - a stud with strong Llanarth bloodlines

Wathwood Welsh Cobs is a small select stud that has been breeding Welsh cobs for temperament and quality since 1988. Since teaming up with the M&M producer Laureen Wilson in 1996, cobs at our stud are now renowned for their ridden performance in the show ring (use the Achievements link for details of some of the major successes).

Our foundation mare, Lidgett Duchess, was purchased as a yearling in 1985. She has strong Llanarth bloodlines (use the Bloodlines link for full details), and these are re-inforced in our other mares. Quality not quantity is certainly true for the breeding programme at our stud.
